Phyllis and Ebe Kronhausen,
your hosts, are internationally known psychologists from
New York. They are authors of the popular book on healthy
living, Formula for Life, and are currently finishing
their latest book, How to Stay Sane in a Crazy World.
You will feel at home and
in good hands, from the moment you meet our farm manager,
Miguel, wiating for you at the Arrivals Exit at the airport,
to take you to your "home away from home". Arriving
at Costa Rica Tropical Rest Bed and Breakfast, you will
be warmly welcomed by Phylis and Ebe. They practice an
holistic life style, and their home and nurturing environment
reflects this.
Here you will be surrounded with warmth and love. Your
meals will be health-oriented. Fresh, wholesome ingredients
(many from own vegetable garden); farm-fresh omega-3-rich
eggs and only virgin olive oil or Canola is used in cooking
healthy meals for you.
At Costa Rica Tropical Rest
your breakfast and other meals, if requested, will be
healthy, nutritious and tasty. Phyllis and Ebe will be
pleased to share their many years of nutrition and healthy
life experience with you.

Built
with precious tropical hardwoods, Costa
Rica Tropical Rest Bed and Breakfast is a non-traditional,
authentic and spacious, no frills farm house. With the
openness of the house and it's 'cathedral' ceiling the
gentle mountain breezes keep the house cool and comfortable
all the time.
The 2nd floor deck surrounds the home and overlooks the
expansive Central Valley and San Jose City. From the deck
you will delight in the magnificent sunrises and sunsets
and enjoy the numerous birds and animals that make this
large country estate their home.

At
Costa Rica Tropical Rest Bed and
Breakfast you have a choice (depending on reservations)
between two separate bedroom areas on opposite sides of
the long upper loft (floor).
The Valley Room, with king
sized bed overlooks the Central Valley and the magnificent
Guanacaste trees, national tree of Costa Rica.
The
Mountain Room, with twin
beds, overlooks the Poas mountain range.
There
is also a mid-sized bedroom on the first floor, that is
handy for families with children to share.
For
a wonderful Costa Rica Breakfast,
how about delicious home-made corn tamalees, filled with
chopped chicken and carrots. Or French-Toast with a choice
of flavorful, tropical honey, iron-rich sugar cane syrup
or home made mango marmalade. Of course, fresh fruit,
either pineapple, melon (or both), not to mention world
famous Costa Rican Coffe, or choice of teas.
